Mindful Monday

Instructor: Laurel Erilane, @laurelerilane

Try It If ... You’re craving more balance and mindfulness at the start of your week. Flow into a cooler, calmer, and more collected you with Laurel Erilane.

About Laurel Erilane

How many years’ experience do you have? I have been practicing yoga consistently for 18 years and teaching for over a decade. I found the practice during my teenage years as physical therapy from repeated sports injuries. I return to practice daily for mental stability and spiritual growth.

Why are you excited about partnering up with Yoga Wake Up? When I am acting in the service of others, I feel most connected to my life's purpose. This is what has guided me toward the path of teaching. I'm excited to help create a weekly Sadhana for the Yoga Wake Up community. This term comes from the Sanskrit root, sadhu, meaning "go straight to a goal." Begining each week with a Mindful Monday morning will routinely apply mind, body, and spiritual teachings in the pursuit of an intentional goal or sankalpa. This is the most natural and efficient way to surrender the ego, accept life's circustances and find relief from suffering to attain personal peace.

What do you hope people take away from your live class? A well-balanced flow to jumpstart your week with awareness and resolution setting. The goal will be simply to relax the body enough that you can relax the mind and reset for the next weekly cycle. We will begin with a grounding meditation followed by an approachable sequence, accessible to any level yoga practicioner, that will uplift your energy and inspire your day.

About Jen Smith

How many years’ experience do you have? I have been studying wellness for 25 years with the privilege of 19 years of teaching yoga. Why are you excited about partnering up with Yoga Wake Up? Yoga Wake Up is such a quality home for me as a yoga teacher and practitioner as the programming is so well thought out for all levels of practice. I love that the live classes work together as a program. As a practitioner, I can take any of the live classes at any time and know that it fits together with the prior practice I took on the app. The teachers on here are not only friends of mine, but they are so soulful in their approach and so relevant to today's practicing needs, I just love it. Not a sell-out in the bunch.

What do you hope people take away from your live class? I am hoping that my class provides a place where all the misfits, gypsies and vagabonds of the world can come together and accept each other for all their perfect flaws and sparkle. I want to help clear away spiritual, mental and physical debris so your purpose, your grounded nature and your visions come into focus.
