My name is Maria & I love asking provocative questions.

Raised by two scientists & a religious institution, the paradox of my childhood laid a foundation for curiosity. I desperately wanted to know the meaning of life, why humans behave the way they do, and why this is "right" and that is "wrong."

I reached a point in my life where I felt suspended between two seemingly opposite ways of viewing the world - science & spirituality. In order to deal with the overwhelming contradictions, as well as feelings of anger & resentment, my mind wrote elaborate stories of discomfort and loneliness.

Nichol started practicing yoga at a very pivotal moment in her life. She was pursuing a career as an Opera Singer, and had even planned on attending San Francisco Conservatory for graduate studies in vocal performance. About a month before she was set to move to San Francisco, she came to the painstaking realization that this was not what she wanted to do with her life. Ironically, she had not been in touch with her own desires; her own voice. Feeling lost and searching for answers, she came to yoga. The more she practiced yoga, the more empowered she felt. Gradually, practice by practice, she began to hear her own voice. Which is why Nichol wants nothing more than to inspire and empower others through teaching them yoga. Nichol's classes are well informed, intuitive, precise and fun! Nichol is a certified YOGAMAZÉ teacher. Her yoga influences are vast and eclectic.

Arielle's journey with yoga began over 15 years ago in her first power yoga class with Mark Blanchard. Instantly, she felt the intense connection of my mind, body, and spirit: and couldn’t get enough. Throughout college, she practiced religiously through Santa Monica Power Yoga. The donation-style teaching allowed her to learn so much, on a college-student budget.

She has taught all over Los Angeles, is the official yoga instructor for the company HEADSPACE, and trains some of Hollywood's biggest names. She has also had the honor of teaching the team at The Zoe Report, and The Body Book!

Arielle says for her "the real accomplishments and successes are the humbling moments when people come up to me and tell me how I have positively touched and changed their lives".
