Niki Saccareccia's new content on the Yoga Wake Up app couldn't be better timed for the new "cancel everything" world we're living in. By nature, her Yoga Wake Up content is soothing and inspires a delightful, easy sense of calm and relaxation. Simply put, she is quite good at putting us in a dreamy state of consciousness, which right now, doesn't that just sound lovely?
So it's really no surprise to us that she also has the goods on getting good sleep. Below, she's sharing her evenings with us. So without further ado, let's see how Niki winds down for great rest.

Evenings with Niki
MY BEDTIME IS
Sometime between 10:30p and midnight depending on when I have to wake up. I aim for 7-8 hours of sleep every night, regardless.
I WIND DOWN WITH
A large glass of water, some restorative yoga or acupressure, pampering after a hot shower and cuddling with my boyfriend on the couch.
I AM USUALLY LISTENING TO
Spotify...I have about 80 curated playlists! Or a Ram Dass podcast.
MY FAVORITE READING MATERIAL IS
A paperback book of poetry or yoga literature.
EVENINGS ARE FOR
Winding down, doing less, talking less and connecting with myself and my family in private.
MY NON-NEGOTIABLE BEDTIME RITUAL IS
Brushing my teeth and tongue scraping.
IF I AM NOT SLEEPING WELL, IT’S USUALLY BECAUSE
It's a full moon, I'm about to get my period, or I ate way to much before bedtime.
MY BEST REST HAPPENS WHEN
I've exercised during the day, taken a hot shower before bed, and have pampered my face and feet before climbing into bed.
NEXT TO MY BED IS
A humidifier, a golden pathos plant, and some body lotion.
MY FAVORITE PRODUCTS FOR SLEEPING WELL INCLUDE
A homemade body butter made with cacao and shea butter and a blend of essential oils...a roll-on CBD/lavender oil for tight muscles by Prana or a topical rub by Quanta...my mouthguard to prevent teeth grinding from an old whiplash injury. I PRACTICE DAILY SELF CARE BY: Sitting in meditation, getting and giving lots of hugs, practicing gratitude, yoga and breathwork, some kind of evening massage therapy.
MY CURRENT MANTRA
Perfection isn't needed.
THE LAST THING I DO BEFORE BED IS
Take a few deep breaths and get physically comfortable.
WHEN I SLEEP IT’S MOST IMPORTANT THAT
The air in the room is cool, it's dark, and I have a good pillow under my head.
