Teacher Spotlight: Sarah Beston


After years in the corporate realm as a managing editor and program director, Sarah Beston decided to honor her passion and take the career leap into wellness as a yoga teacher and holistic health coach.

The transition, she said, has been life changing, and she hopes to inspire others to overcome self-imposed limitations, helping them to uncover their individual truths and become the best versions of themselves.

Getting to know Sarah Beston...

AM ROUTINE Dawn has always been my favorite time of day. There is something so sacred about the early morning—it’s the best-kept secret. I typically wake up before sunrise, light a candle, journal what I remember from my crazy dreams, and then meditate. Not before making an amazing cup of coffee, of course!

WHY I PRACTICE

I practice to meet myself and remember who I truly am.

PM ROUTINE

I’ve fought it my whole life, but I am an early bird! In the evenings I like to spend some quality time with my dog and husband over a good meal, maybe take a walk around the neighborhood, and read my latest book (or binge watch something amazing).

WHERE CAN WE FIND YOU? I live in Manhattan Beach, California, and am currently teaching classes at the Yoga Loft in Manhattan Beach and Palos Verdes Yoga. I also teach online classes on Yoga Anytime. You can find all of my yoga happenings here.

FAVE TUNES TO PRACTICE TO My latest yoga playlist is a mix of Radiohead, Satsang, Krishna Das, Nina Simone, and The Avett Brothers, but I personally prefer to practice to the sound of my breath.
