Invigorating Morning Breakfast from Café Gratitude



Every morning is a chance to refresh, renew, and rejuvenate your body + mind for the day ahead. After you set your morning intentions, head to the kitchen to whisk up one of our favorite morning meals - Chia Seed Pudding!

Not only are chia seeds are packed with the staples of a healthy breakfast - antioxidants, calcium, protein, and fiber - but this pudding allows you to get a little more creative with your morning meal. Spruce up your bowl with seasonal fruits, delectable sauces, and fresh herbs. We suggest giving your pudding a berry blast - goji berries, strawberries, and blueberries - because your body can never have too many antioxidants.

Ingredients

For Hempseed Milk

Hempseeds, 1 Cup

Filtered Water, 6 Cups

For Superfood Base

Cinnamon, 1 tsp

Lucuma, 2 tsp

Maca, 2 tsp

Himalayan Salt, 1 tsp

Hempseed Milk, 1 ½ cups

Filtered Water, ⅓ cup

Maple Syrup, ⅔ cup

Vanilla Bean, ½ tsp

Chia Seeds, 1 ⅛ cups

Directions

1. In a blender, prepare 2 quarts of Hempseed Milk. Blend hempseeds and water, then strain the blended hempseeds through a nut milk bag to get the milk. Add enough water to make 8 cups of milk (2 quarts), and set aside.

2. Put dry Chia Seeds in a large mixing bowl

3. Pour the blended Superfood base over the chia seeds, using a whisk to mix as you pour.

4. Add all remaining Hempseed Milk. Whisk occasionally while it is setting to avoid lumps.

5. Refrigerate and enjoy!
